Let’s Talk PCS Groups

Any PCS group can often feel scary and frightening when you join and read all the posts of folks and their negative experiences. It’s important to remind everyone that, you do hear more negative than positive. People will turn to groups as a way to find answers or guidance on how to navigate a situation that they have. For every negative experience you hear about, there is a positive experience that you don’t hear about.

 

We work hard in the PCS Like A Pro - Your Smooth Move group to provide a safe place where you can vent and voice your frustrations, as well as find factual, regulation and policy backed information.

 

Additionally, it’s very important to note that not every “PCS GROUP” is created equal. Membership size doesn’t always mean the best. Purpose of the groups are not always the same. Some are run by real estate folks, some by random folks, and some by other organizations with an agenda. This is the ONLY group that has admins with connections to Transcom, the service branches personal property relocation departments, and to several of the larger TSPs. When major issues arise we are happy to help work your issues up the chain to the appropriate office. No other group can do that.

 

All of that to remind you that you should stop, take a deep breath, and relax a bit. Just because you see and read the negative experiences does not mean you will have one too. Take a moment and search the group for tips, tricks, advice, hacks, whatever it may be to see how others have prepped for their PCS, so you can learn too.
